Child Coughing Up Blood And Short Of Breath After A Fall. Burst Capillaries In Lungs. Is It Possible By Falling?

My son fell on his back and shortly afterwards became Short of breath and started coughing up blood. we took him to Er and they said that he had burst capallaries in lungs. However they did not write that on ER sheet and now insurance is saying that no one can burst capiallaries in lungs by falling so are refusing claim. How can I scienticitally collect information to show that this can happen?

Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

The doctor documentation of the child history and pattern of the injury, his examination findings, and relevant investigations like chest X-ray and CT Scan chest are important to prove the bleeding in the lungs and to correlate the injury pattern with the occurred trauma.

I advise you to consult the treating doctor and discuss regarding this issue.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
