Child Coughs Hard While Drinking Milk. Giving Milk With Spoon. Solution?

My son turned 9 weeks today. He is one of the twins. He has developed a condition where is coughs hard while drinking milk through feeding bottle. We tried and this happens while breast feeding too. What could be the issue? We had a milk scan which showed intermittent reflux. We have started given him milk through spoon which is kind of working as we control the flow. What is the long term solution to this?

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Try and breast feed your baby. that is ideal for the baby. Even though you have twins breast feeding should and will be sufficient for them if you decide to breast feed.

The coughing problem could be because of reflux. A complete examination is necessary to arrive at a diagnosis.

Hope this helps.
