Child Got Red And Blotchy Rash On Arms And Legs Due To Possible Allergic Reaction, Feeling Of Threads On Arms. Help?
Hi my 2 year old daughter got a rash on her arms and legs about 4 days ago. It was red and blotchy, I thought maybe she had an allergic reaction to something but the rash on her arms have now completely changed shape. It looks like she has all threads all over her arms. They have gone a deeper red to the rash on her legs and her arms are hot to touch.
From your description it seems that your daughter its getting urticaria. Its a condition where there are red raised lesions on the body. There can be linear lessons like how you describe and is known as dermatographism.
I would recommend that you visit your dermatologist and let him have a look and give his opinion.
The best treatment for urticaria would be taking anti allergic medications like hydroxyzine. The dose depends on the weight of the child and you would require a prescription for it.
