Child Had Droopy Eye Lid. Treated With Ptsosis Surgery, Eyelid Upliftment Done. Still Put Drops. Time To Heal?

hi. doctor.my baby is 1 year 4 months old. she had droopy eye lid problem on her left eye. she was treated with ptsosis surgery , eyelid upliftment at the age of 1 year. now its 4 months. she can close the eye very little only while under sleep. We still put drops night sleeping time for her..Doctor please advise how many months it may take her for complete closure of eyes.

Hello

It appears that an over correction of ptsosis has been made during surgery, otherwise by now the child should be able to close the eye. You are advised to meet the operating surgeon for further advice.

Meanwhile you can use lubricating eye drops to prevent dryness and its complications as the child is not able to close the eye.
