Child Had High Fever, Body Tight, Eyes Fix On Opposite Direction, Lips Back. Reason For Above Symptoms? Cure?
Dear Sir, I want to know that my 1.5 years old baby get fever over 103-104' and between that period he tighten his body, eyes were fix to opposite direction, lips seems to be black. and this symptoms has been continued to 1/2 - 1 minute.
I want to know that which type of disease is this ?? and which is the best medicine available for this ??? and whom i contact????
It sounds like a febrile seizure. This is a seizure that occurs in association with a significant increase in body temperature.
The tightening of his body, fixing of his eyes in another direction are in keeping with a seizure.
These seizures can be called simple or complex, most are simple seizures.
A simple seizure is one where the seizure involves the whole body , lasts less than 15 minutes, it is not caused by any infection of the brain and the child has no history of any neurological conditions. In this case no specific treatment is needed.
He should be taken to see his pediatrician for assessment to determine the source of the infection and initiate appropriate treatment.
