Child Has Bump In Diaper Area. Hurts While Wiping. Advice?

My one year old son has a red bump on his diaper area. One appeared a week ago and when we took him to the doctors he said it might be a rash . I ve been applying A&D ointment and this has appeared to not be a rash. The bump popped and now looks like an open wound and another bump appeared next to it. When I change his diaper and wipe this area he makes a noise like it hurts him. When I feel the area it feels hard and the area is red and looks like its starting to get swollen. It looks like a pimple but it looks like it would have clear fluid not white puss. My son has his Drs appointment on Monday but I dont know if I should take him to get looked at before then?

Kindly provide sitz bath to your son which is going to facilitate faster healing and give some relief in the pain. It is better to consult your doctor so that better care can be provided to your son.
