Child Has Dental Problem. Cavity In Molar Teeth. Dentist Suggests For A Anesthetic Surgery. Suggested Tea Spoon Of Ibugesic Plus. Side Effects?

Hi,

I have a 4 year old son who is having a dental problem. He has cavity in his molar teeth and this is leading to lot of pain.. When we showed it to the dentist, the dentist said that the child was too small to behave and hence the best option would be to go in for a anesthetic surgery. He how suggested to try to push the surgery for some more time but providing some medicine to subside the pain and hope that in sometime he would be able to do a proper root cannal thereby avoiding the surgery. he had suggested one tea spoon of ibugesic plus to be given to the child when he feel pain. We have found that the medicine helps to subside the pain but were wondering if there are any side effects of giving him the medicine in case the dosage increased (on account of more pain)..say twice a day. Pl suggest

Hello,

Welcome to health care magic forum.

Thanks for writing to us.

The medicine prescribed by your dentist is an analgesic, which can relieve pain temporarily.

Antibiotics has to be administered to relieve underlying infection.

The decayed tooth has to be treated with pulp therapy procedures.

Since the treatment is done under local Anesthesia, not to be worried about.

You can consult a Pedodontist for further reference.

Hope this helps.
