Child Has Dizziness, Low Temperature, No Head Injury. Reason?
My four year old daughter has been dizzy for the last two nights during the night and when she gets up in the morning she cant stand or anything without falling down due to dizziness . This lasts for about 30 mins in the morning. She normally has a temp of 37.0 but its 35.5 at the moment. No other symptoms. This first happened her in december and lasted about 5 days after falling and hitting her ear off the ground. Happened two more times since then but she was running fever those times. No fever this time and no head injury
Hi,
Thank you for your query. There seems to be a problem.Dizziness is uncommon in a child of this age.It can due to low blood pressure, central nervous system causes, or cardiac causes. f this is associated with headache it might be a problem of migraine. If it is associated with vomiting, reeling of head of loss of hearing it might be an internal ear problem.I think you should consult your local pediatrician to assess the problem and treat accordingly. Wishing her a speedy recovery. Have a nice day
Thank you for your query and sorry for not responding to it earlier.
As your daughter is having repeated bouts of dizziness over the past 9 months as mentioned in your query she must have been examined by doctors and, I presume, the doctors must have said everything is normal. You can understand the limitation of this platform in providing you a definite cause for the problem and a solution without a thorough examination of the child.
I suggest that you discuss this issue with your doctor and request for a MRI scan apart from a thorough neurological examination so that a possible cause for this phenomenon can be found.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
