Child Has Fever, Cold, Cough. Given Meftal-p Suspension. Suggestions?

my son is 1yr n 8 months, last 2 days he is suffring from fever (101) n m giving him a meftal-p suspension....today is the 3rd day n his fever is not going normal..i mean sometime normal n sometime high n from today morning he is suffering from cold n cough also...all the time he is crying n he is not eating food also...m so worried...plez suggest....

Thanks for your query.
Your child is having respiratory infection with fever which is there for 3 days.,which in most cases is viral in nature and settles in few days.
I suggest you to get him examined by pediatrician for proper management.
In the meantime give paracetamol for temperature management every 6 to 8 hourly.
Give benadryl as per dosage for 2 to 3 days.
Give plenty of fluids,warm fluid will be soothing, give vegetable soup,fruit juices.
