Child Has Frequent Fever, Running Nose, Cough. What To Do?
Hello Dr, We stay in Vietnam. My daughter is 16 months old. Since three months , she is staying quiet sick. every 15 days either is down with fever ,running nose , severe cough . I know here the weather is not that good, but still what should i do, she also eats less. her wt is 9.5 kg, ht: 77 cms and birth wt: 3.2 kg Regards
Though it is common for children to have repeated attack of upper respiratory tract infection quite frequently from about 12 months of age till about 3-4 years of age, it is always to better to get your daughter examined by a doctor to rule out any persistent cause of infection. I would suggest to get base line investigations done which include:
1. Hemogram
2. Urine routine
3. Blood sugar random
The anthropological parameters are alright for her age. Continue giving a good balance nutritious diet to your child.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
