Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query,
Your child seems to have upper respiratory tract infection may be viral or bacterial.
Continue the medication as prescribed by your Pediatrician for the present issue.
Give sips of oral fluids, ORS, and some soft diet to maintain her hydration and the nutrition.
The wieght loss of 2 kg is significant and is due to decreased appetite because of infection and decreased oral intake.
Consult your Pediatrician for examination to look for the focus of infection and for antibiotic treatment if required.
Hope I have answered your query.
