Child Has Pain In Back Of Head, Redness In Ears. Taking Singulair For Allergy

My grandson just complained about the back of his head hurting. He ran to me, I picked him up and noticed that his ears were very red. He had been jumping around a lot. He is 2 and a half years old. Is this a vascular condition and is it something we need to be concerned about. He is taking Singulair and is getting one breathing treatment a day for his allergies.
