Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Child Has Red Bumps On Face, Swollen. What Are They?
my child has had a few red bumps on her face for the last week or so...just thought they were maybe bug bites...but then last night she had one that was larger on the side of her head just above temple...this morning she woke up and it was really read and swollen...about the size of a quarter. I know she didnt fall or bump her head...also 2 new red spots showed up on her forehead and eyebrow...not sure what they are.??
I can understand your dilemma on the problem described by you. It shall not be possible for me to give any advice without seeing the "red bumps" being described by you. Had you uploaded a photogrpah of the "bumps" it would have been better.
I can only recommend that you show your child to a doctor who shall be able to guide you once he sees the lesions. It they are insect bites then there should be a mark of the bite in the centre of a red area.
I hope I have responded to your query to your satisfaction. Please feel free to revert back for any clarifications or if you would like to share more information.
