Child Has Red Spot On Inner Thigh. It Is Feverish. Remedy?

my daughter who is seven had a red spot on her inner thigh this morning and when I picked her up from dayare it was raised like a blister/pimple and hard and red around the blister. I went to feel around it to see if it was feverish and it was. It was also very hard under the skin around the raised pimple/blister....what should I do?

thank for choosing HCM one strong possibility of insect bite is there, second some solitary foliculitis (gross appearance would give better idea ), give her antiinflammatory drug, better consult the doctor without clinical examination difficult advise any thing particularly in pediatric age group of patients. have nice day.

The description given by you is suggestive of folliculitis. (A infection of the skin)

After confirmation of the diagnosis your doctor may prescribe local antibiotic. If your baby has fever also then your doctor may prescribe systemic antibiotics.

So please consult your doctor for the same.
