Child Has Rotten Top Teeth, White Sores On Gums That Pop And Bleed Leaving Black Mark. Cause And Remedy?

My 3 yr old daughter has rotten top teeth (only her front 4), the dentists here say to just leave the teeth they will eventually fall out. Now the problem is she s been getting white sores on the gums, that pop and then bleed and leave behind like a black mark. What is causing this and do I need to take her to a dentist?

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

I suppose that your daughter had a infected tooth in the oral cavity and the infection had spread to the surrounding tissue leading to formation of abscess , white sores on the gums can be due to infection and abscess formation.

If the tooth is not causing any problem you can just leave it.
For bleeding gums you need to visit to a Pedodontist and get a checkup done . Take an x-ray of the tooth , this will give the periapical condition of the tooth and position of the errupting teeth.

Get complete mouthwash scaling done .
At home take hexidine mouthwash 2 spoon , peroxide mouthwash 2 spoon and water 4 spoon make a mixture and wipe the teeth with soft cotton or handkerchief 3-4 times a day with your hands this will excavate the soft caries.

Hope this helps .

hello there ,

According to your clinical history i suspect your child has developed RAMPANT CARIES .

It is the condition where upper and lower front teeth undergo decay process and spread eventually to the other teeth.

since these are primary or milk teeth , they will be replaced by permanent teeth at the age to 6 to 7 years. meantime you can go for temporary restoration of the teeth to prevent further damage.

white sores on the gums are nothing but gum boils or gingival inflammation caused due to poor oral hygiene or accumulation of bacterial plaque deep in the gum pockets.

visit a dentist and get the professional scaling of the gums done , which helps in resolving the symptoms.

i hope this helps ,

take care

Hello,

Thanks for writing in.

The front incisor baby teeth will fall only at an age of 6-7 years.
The white sores associated with the decayed tooth may be the abscess developed.
I would suggest you to go for a second opinion.
An x-ray of the teeth will help to evaluate the extent of decay.
The infected pulp has to be extirpated and the pus if present has to be drained out.
Also make sure that your chlid's oral hygiene is well-maintained.
Use fluridated tooth paste to brush teeth.
Rins mouth after every meals.
Hope this helps.
