Child Has Scar On Back, No Pain. History Of Open Heart Surgery At Birth. Help

I took my daughter who is 16 to the doctor today for a burn like looking plastic scar that looks like it could be drained on her back. There is no pain but it has gotten bigger, I can not sleep all I do is cry, they are sending her to a dermatologist in a few days. She has had open heart surgery at birth TAPVR is the heart condition that she had. She recovered miracle and has been fine we are so concerned. I have pictures can someone please help?? Or maybe suggest what it could be?

Hello
Thank you for placing your query on Health Care Magic
Your description seems to be a Keloid. Some individuals react a little differently to scars and their scars grow to be like the one you describe. The treatment options depends on the size of the scar and its depth. If you can send pictures, that will be great and I will be able to help you out more. Treatment options include injections into the scars and surgical removal.
Hope that helps solve your query
God bless you
