Child Has Swelling At Root Of Helix, Tender To Touch. History Of Inner Ear Infection. Should I Be Concerned?
Hi my daughter has swelling at the root of the helix . There was no obvious trauma & she is not complaining. However, it is tender to touch. The ony pertinent past medical history is that she is being treated for a bpretty resistant inner ear infection--now on Bactrim & prednisone taper- Should I be concerned that in some way this is an extension of the inner ear infection?
hello. it is possible that the infection is spreading to the pinna, it is also possible that there was some trauma by ear buds or instrumentation by your doctor. please meet your ENT docotr , he will examine and guide you further.thanks
