HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Viral illnesses are the most common cause of these symptoms but with such a high fever, it may be best to rule out bacterial infection.
You should consider taking her to be assessed as soon as possible to determine whether it is bacterial or viral. The presence of wheezing is also an indication for evaluation.

Viral infections can be associated discoloured discharge as well so the yellow colour does not necessarily mean there is a bacterial infection.

You can consider the use of an mucolytic to help decrease the viscosity of the secretions and help her expel it easier.

I hope this helps
