Child Has Unknown Allergy. Red Rash Near Eyes, Watery Eyes, Yellow Discharge

My son is six months old and looks like he is allergic to something unknown.... My elder son has a few allergies and red rashes pop out round his eyes caused by the allergies. My babies eyes turn really watery with yellow discharge every now and past two weeks and it turns red round the eye and settles off in a few mins.

Pediatrician 's  Response
HI,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Presence of allergies in close relatives is one of the indicator that it could be because of allergy.

Get your child examined by your doctor which will help in identification if that was because of allergy or not.

Identification of allergen and avoiding it is the best treatment.
Most of the cases the allergen is difficult to identify.

Antihistaminics prescribed by your doctor will be useful in case of allergies.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
