Child Has Vomiting, Feverish. Had Sun Exposure. Any Thoughts?

My 8yr old daughter woke up at 4:30am vomitting. Since then (approx 1.5 hrs) she has thrown up 5 times. Her temp is 96.5. She has spent the past three days at an outdoor camp - getting a fair bit of sun we can assume.
Not sure what to do as when given something to drink - ginger ale - to sip, it comes right back out. Any thoughts?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Fever could be because of various causes. Does your daughter have any cough, sore throat, burning urination, frequency of urination etc? Are there any chills or rigors associated with the fever?

First get your daughter examined by a doctor to arrive at the exact cause of that fever and vomiting. Antiemetics as prescribed by your doctor will help in control of vomiting. Exact cause of fever should be identified and treated depending on the cause.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
