Child Has Vomitting, No Fever, Done Urinalysis, Under Amoxycillin, Able To Hold Fluids, Weakness. What Does His Urinalysis Report Indicate?
hello, my 3.5 yr old son was taken to the hospital for vomiting . He s got no fever but urinalysis showed red blood cells of 10-15/HPF and Pus Cells of 2-4/HPF. He s under antibiotics ( Amoxicilin ), but is not eating still but he s able to hold fluids now. What does his urinalysis result imply? he s still a bit weaker than he used to.
Hi dear your child having fever and vomiting, put on amoxcilin vomiting now under control, but weak and urine examination shows red blood cell of 10-15/HPF and pus cell of of 2-4 /HpF.This urine examination with fever and vomiting suggest possibility of urinary tract infection. But since red blood cells are more than puss cells ,possibility of a small urinary stone and nephritis cannot be ruled out,as you have not mentioned any other symptom
