Child Have Fever, Stomach Pain And Sinus. Gave Tylenol. Is This Something Serious?

My son has fever of 102.5 lasting for about 70-80 minutes now and I have given him Tylenol. 12.5ml at first then 40 minutes later another 10ml. His stomach pain is really intense and it feels extremely hot when I touch it. I think he has sinus infection also, been sick for @3weeks. Get sinus infections often, threw up once @1 1/2 hours ago. Should I take him to emergency

Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

First I advise you to give Tylenol in prescribed dose only.

The dose depends on his weight.

There should be a minimum of 4 hours duration gap between the two doses of Tylenol.

If it is given in over dosage it may lead to liver injury so be careful in giving the doses.

If there is high grade fever like this you can do tepid sponging with lukewarm water.

Consult the doctor at emergency and get your child examined and investigated for the problem.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
