Child Having Adeno Virus, Fever. Is The Situation Safe To Go On Vacation?

Daughter has adenovirus. Almost fever fee for a day. Supposed to leave for vacation in a couple of darts but worried about her baby brother who is 10wks. Symptom free now but concerned he might get sick while away. Vacation area has a small hospital but no neonatologist. I know a fever = hospital visit. To risky? Should we stay home?.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

At 10 weeks , if he does become ill, he could see a general pediatrician or a general practitioner.
The hospital should have a pediatrician available.

He does not need to see a neonatologist specifically.

If you were able to reduce contact between them when your daughter was acutely unwell and are able to continue restriction for another few days , then it would reduce the chance that he will become infected.

I hope this helps
