Child Having Global Developmental Delay, Constipation, Gastric Problem, On Lactolose. Is It Safe To Give Colicaid Drops?

My daughter is 2.5 yrs. she suffers from global developmental delay, weighs about 8.15kgs. she is unable to pass stool without applying supository. she has been on lactolose for the past 1 year or more. how safe is lactolose and how long can it be given without a break. also she has severe gastric problem. can she be given colicaid drops on a regular basis? how safe is it?

Global developmental delay and constipation suggest me of hypothyroidism. Was a thyroid profile done in your kid? Was further evaluation done.

Treatment of the basic cause is important than symptomatic treatment. Not giving high fiber diet could be the cause of constipation. Try to give high fiber diet along with plenty of water.

What is the developmental age of your kid?

What developmental mile stone are reached?
