Child Having High Fever. Got Chills After Tepid Bath. Aching In Legs. Given Tylenol, Advit. Further Treatment?

I have a 9 yr old daughter. She has had flu symptoms for 2 full days. Giving Tylenol and Advit intermittently. Fever was 103 today and now at 8:00 pm tonite it went to 104. Just gave Tylenol & tepid bath. & now putt-
ing cool cloths on her forehead back & armpits. She got chills real bad after bath & aching in legs. Is there anything else to be done to bring down fever? Thank you

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really understand your concern, the acetaminophen is the only safe medicine for fever along with cold sponging, high grade fever is indication of something else rather than viral infection If I would be your daughter's doctor then I would certainly ask for routine investigation like complete blood count and of course urine analysis, the chances of urinary tract infection is more likely, now instead of bring the body temperature to normal it is time for diagnosis, brings down the temperature some time mask the clinical picture, have nice day
