My daughter is two years and two months. Three days back she had chicken from a hotel and chocolate ice cream and 5-6 chocolates. Since yesterday she has had loose tools. I give her oats and arrowroot porridge. I started using ORS since today. What do I do?

Child Having Loose Tools. What Do I Do?
Hi, Thanks for writing to health care magic. Monitor for signs of dehydration. The signs of dehydration are 1. decreased passage of urine. 2. Sunken eyes 3. Dry mouth 4. Increasing thirst 5. Irritability or lethargy. Please contact your doctor if any of these are present. ORS or any other fluid containing salt and sugar should be given to prevent dehydration. Continue to ask further queries. Hope this helps. Take care. Dr Y V Siva Sankara Murty, M.D. (Pediatrics) Associate Professor of Pediatrics.
