Child Having Swollen Neck, Face. Pain In Abdomen. What Could Be The Cause?

10 year old female has aswollen neck and cheeks on face can not figure out cause. lyphnodes are fine blood work fine some abdominal pain ;,lbood sugar down to 20 but has returned to normal she was origanaly diagnosed with haveing the mumps she had to be itubated to prevent the swelling from closeing her airway doctors can not diagnose but are checking for virus and infection but so far have not come up with a cause

Swelling of mumps adenitis is never.so severe enough and involves such large area.

It's likely to be Ludwig angina or necrotising fasciitis.
It will respond to Metronidazole and clindamycin antibiotics.
Do discuss the need of fasciotomy with your surgeon
