Child Hit The Forehead, Headache, Vomiting. Whats The Cause, Is It Dangerous?
Our 4 year old grand-daughter hit the side of her forehead whilst playing yesterday. She had been fine since, showing no ill affects. However, she returned from a couple of hours at school complaining of a headache . She sat quieter than normal for a little while and then went to sleep on our lap. She then woke suddenly (around 27 hours after banging her head) and vomited. She has since mostly been asleep (but his is around her normal bed time).
hi.head injury may lead to concussion and possible brain edema or swelling. as your child develop vomitting and she is drowsy she require CT scan and monitoring . better consult immediately to your family physician.

Child Hit The Forehead, Headache, Vomiting. Whats The Cause, Is It Dangerous?
Hi, Thanks for writing to health care magic. This is not normal and your child should be investigated further. There are certain danger signs after a fall or head injury. If a child has vomiting or head ache or has seizures or nose and ear bleed then that child should be taken to the doctor immediately. Please take your child to the doctor who will further investigate her with a CT scan etc if the situation demands. Hope this helps. Take care.
