Child Listens To Music Everyday. Can Hearing Be Regained By Not Using Headphones?
Hi Dr. Samuel, I am 13 years old, and I have a question about hearing . I do listen to music everyday, sometimes a little to loud, and I have come to realize that I am starting to worry about my hearing. I do eat healthy, I am not a picky eater, I eat vegetables everyday. And I was wondering(just to make my stop worrying) if you could somehow gain some hearing by stop listening to music with my headphones for a month, and somehow gain some hearing, and be back to normal.
hello dear, first you have to ascertain if you have any hearing loss or you are worried just for nothing. first you should have your hearing assessed by a ENT specialist, and if you think you have some hearing problem it can be just ear wax. so first visit a ENT doctor before you start worrying about your hearing. but i must say, you ve come across with a very noble idea in your mind about abandoning the use of head phone for a month. you can use your head phone for listening to music but it can really hurt your eardrums if you listen too loud a music. so keep volume low and you can enjoy your fav. music even with earphones. bye take care
