Cyperoterone Acetate has anti androgenic property and is effective only in acne influenced by androgen. OCP can result in many side effects in the long run like increase in weight, thrombo embolism and so on and hence is not suitable for young girls unless indicated. Also, you have mentioned that it was only moderately effective. So I think it can be better avoided. Tetralysal is Lymecycline, an antibiotic used to control the infections that are responsible for the formation of pustules. Topical preparations like Azelaic acid will be effective in acne with minimal side effects. Avoid excessive washing with harsh soaps. Avoid oily sunscreens and use water based or non comedogenic products on face. Citrus fruits, apple and grapes when applied topically remove dead skin cells and unclog the pores.
