Child Started With Cold, Duarrhea And Stomach Upset. Given Ventolin Inhaler. Does It Give Relief From Tightness In Chest?
Hi, my seven year old daughter has started two and a half wks ago with a cold diarrea, stomach upset. Those symptoms improved but she was left with a very heavy chest and upset stomach. Been to the walk in and the hospital for a check, they listened to her heart and said her chest is clear. Sent her home with a ventolin inhaler and her symptoms still have not improved. She has no energy and dark circles around her eyes. Every now and then she spits up a bit of white flem, she has no couph and sleeps well thru the nights. She is constantly forcing a couph however, she says in the hopes of giving her chest some relief from the tightness. Hope you can help. Thanks

she is suffering from acute bronchitis .
ventoline inhaler is right choice as it will cause bronchodilator will give relief in breathing .
she should take mucolytic cough syrup .
if cough is viscid and yellow should start appropriate antibiotic after consult with doctor .
give steam inhalation .
increase water intake .
give proper light diet .
