Child Taken Polio Drops, HepB And BCG. Can OPV1, DTP1 HepB2 Hib1 Vaccines Be Combined In A Single Syringe?

Dear Sir,
My name is Pradeep, Father of a girl baby (7weeks and 3days) old. In the first week doctor gave polio drops, HepB and BCG. Then we went for 6th week vaccination. They gave polio drops and only one Injection. But in the vaccination list which they gave it is mentioned as opv1, DTP1 HepB2 hib1 vaccine. My questions is can they combine all the three vaccine in a single syringe?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi Pradeep,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

At 6 weeks one injection will contain all required vaccinations like DPT, Hib, and Hepatitis B.

So what your doctor is given probably a pentavalent vaccine which almost covers the said vaccines.

So nothing to worry and child has been given all necessary vaccination.

But you can ask and discuss with your pediatrician about your concerns at the time of vaccination.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
