Child With Cats Flea Bites. What The Affects Of Repeated Flea Bites May Be?
My 15 month old granddaughter has been visiting on the weekends and when we pick her up she is covered with flea bites from the cats at her mother s apartment. 20 + bites on her torso and face. Can you tell me what the affects of repeated flea bites may be? This has happened several weekends in a row. The adults seem not to be bothered.
Your grand daughter is suffering from cat flea bites. You should check the cat in the apartment treated by a vet doctor, else the fleas are likely to cause bites, itching and infection to everyone with sensitive skin and prone to allergy. Get the apartment free of fleas.
1. Get your grand daughter clinically assessed and diagnosed for flea bites, do not make your own conclusion.
2. Give her tepid bath and apply mild medicated lotion/moisturiser to reduce the itch and inflammation. You can apply antibacterial oitment like neosporin, soframycin, etc.
3. Oral antihistamine can help to reduce and control allergy.
4. Do not allow her to scratch, it will proliferate the infection.
Take care.
