Child With Intermittent Ear Pain, No Fever. Yellowish Discharge. Ear Infection? Any Home Remedy?

My 7 1/2 year old, who has never had an ear infection, is complaining of intermittent outer ear pain without a fever. Her 12 year molar is shifting in her mouth as her 6 year molar is finishing erupting. xray of tooth is WNL. The pain has last 6 days, with a break of one day without pain. She has a watery, yellowish discharge now, no pain, no fever, no odor. Could this be an ear infection, and can I treat with a home remedy

Ear discharge if present is suggestive of ear drum perforation and middle ear infection mostly.
You must get ENT consultation done.
Get done Otoscopy which is simply examining the ear with an instrument which has light and magnifys the image.
You will have to take antibiotics and ear drops so that infection is controlled and ear drum heals.
If properly taken ear drum heals in children very fast and so that later she wont have problem but
If not done at this initial stage then this can lead to a permanent ear perforation and ear infections on and off.
will give u an example to explain----
the ear drum is like a broken window in a closed room(middle part of ear behind the drum).the room will never be clean until the window is replaced and closed properly.
