Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My almost five year old son has had recurring fevers for a month now. They usually range between 101 and 104, although it has gotten as high as 105. During the first round his sister was sick with the flu and he seems to have caught it. His fever (accompanied by chills and aches ) lasted 5 or 6 days. About two weeks later the fever returned with chills and aches (including headache ), sensitivity to light and about 12 hours of vomiting. The fever lasted 2 to 3 days. Less than a week later his has fever returned again with chills and headache but no vomiting. He has been complaining of leg pain persistently as well.
Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic Forum
Has he undergone any blood and urine tests? Is the cause of fever known? Fever with chills is (most commonly) seen in malaria / urinary tract infection.
Leg pain/bodyache is seen in fever . The cause has to be removed/treated, or else these fevers would continue coming.
