Child With Mild Fever, Gas Problems, Bloated Stomach. Any Help?
My 1 year old girl is currently suffering with a mild fever 38C. Very unhappy. Not sure if this is related to her misery, but in the last few day, she has been producing very loud and frequent farts. (More like an adult mans) and seems to be in some discomfort when doing so. Her belly looks a little solid too, as if she's all bloated. We massage her and this helps.
Your baby needs to be examined to arrive at a cause for that fever.
Monitor for danger signs when ever a baby has fever.
The danger signs are
1. Poor feeding.
2. Lethargy.
3. Loss of consciousness.
4. Fits or seizures.
A baby with any of the above problems should receive urgent medical attention.
Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.

Child With Mild Fever, Gas Problems, Bloated Stomach. Any Help?
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. Any loose motions are there? Any history of cold, cough, or change in voice? Any crying history during passing urine? This will guide to know the focus of any infection. And very loud frequent farting may be an early symptom of any gastrointestinal infection. For fever you can give a paracetamol syrup in prescribed dose. And consult your Pediatrician for the examination of the child and for treatment. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
