Children Having Severe Persisting Cough. Medication?
Hello sir my name is Barbara and I have two children with I believe to be severe coughs They are 3 & 5yrs old both have been sick since last thursday with fevers a little body ache and coughs But it has leveled down to nasty constant coughing through out the day and night Please help me I am having sleepless nights and they are missing school....Ive tried VitaminC, Vitamins , Tylenol , Pedia Care Med and Pedia Care juice........
Please have both your kids examined by your Pediatrician.

They might need medications based on the type of cough and examination findings.
If its a dry and irritating cough with a clear chest, your doctor will give you lozenges to soothe the throat and cough suppressants. If chest signs are there, he might give you expectorants or bronchodilators.
Its better not to try over the counter medications without getting them examined.
