Chills, Fever, Body Aches, Nausea After Bladder Repair. Prescribed Cipro. Urinalysis Showed Bacterial Infection. Due To Surgery?

On the 13th of Sept, I had a bladder repair to a prolapsed bladder. 7 days later, I began having chills, fever , body aches, and nausea . My doctor is closed on Fridays and when I called on Monday, the nurse said he was on vacation. I called my primary doctor and saw him the same day. He did an urinalysis and started me on bactrim . Friday morning of last week, he called me and told me that the results indicated that it was a bacteria that was resistant to bactrim and called me in a prescription of cipro. I think he called the bacteria psuedo something. Would this be an infection that came from the surgery or from the hospital? Also doing this time, I have a cutting sensation every time I sit down, turn a certain wait or bend over. It is like a staple is cutting me and bright red bleeding. I had a intravaginal procedure with stitches. Is this related to the infection or something different?

greetings.

i can understand that you are having AN UTI.And now you are taking treatment for this and perhaps it will get better.
But my advice for you is that you should be on good follow up.
as it will be best treatment for you.
hope this helps.
as physical examination is a must,so you should go and see your doctor.
