Choked Feeling After Undergoing A Surgery. Had A Nerve Block Instead Of Intubation. Should I Switch Medicines?
I recently had surgery, had a nerve block instead of being intubated d/t GERD, previous problems during surgery. It has been 5 days, and the past 3 I have this feeling of being choked, or something on my neck, plus a lump in my throat. I have only been taking Famotidine20mg QD for my condition. Should I change to Prevacid for a bit till this issue clears up?
Hello, Which surgery you have not written. If neck procedure then you should consult your surgeon for the choking feeling. If the surgery was for ear or nose then or somewhere else then it could be because of the reflux disease. You can take Prevacid , it is better drug will act faster and in cases of stree ulcers it is good. You can take domperidom with it so that reflux part is also taken care off. In doubt do reply
