Chronic alcoholic patient was admitted with hypokalemia. He was evaluated for causes but could not be documented. Correction was carried out but not completely successful. Without the doctor's notice, attendants gave alcohol and his potassium got corrected and was discharged in normal sensorium. Would you please explain what happened in body regarding potassium homeostasis.
