Chronic Cough, Taking Lanzolprozole, Felodipine. Do Ace Inhibitors Cause Cough ?

I am 65 year old female and have had a chronic cough for 7 years I have tests and have been told it could be acid reflux and was prescribed 60 mgs lanzolprozole and offered a fundleplication which I declinded ,I also take Felodipine 2-5 and Doxazosin 4 mg 2.5 bendrofluazine. 75 thyroxine I have just been reading that ace inibitors can give a chronic cough and I was checking side effects of my drugs. I bought some over the counter cough medicine in France that suppresses coughs but nothing I have found in England seems to work the same I only take 5ml at night to help me get to sleep. Any advice would be welcome thank you

Hi
Thank for choosing, HCM chronic cough should not take it lightly, it need total investigation, to come on exact etiological diagnosis, we can not say that this is because of ACE inhibitor until and unless proved, in my opinion get done some routine investigations, like X-ray study of chest, total blood count with differential count, cut down certain medicine if possible, have good day.
