Chronic Diffuse Pain All Over Body, Taking Exalgo, Oxycodone. Was Intubated For Pneumonia And ARDS. Suggestions ?
I was intubated for 9 days last October for walking pneumonia and ARDS. I spent 1 week in medical recovery and 2 weeks in-patient rehab. I am 68 yrs old and without a spleen. My main problem is an increase with Chronic pain which now includes non specific diffuse pain all over my body. I have been on a supervised pain management program for 20 years.I take 32 mg of EXALGO ER 1xday and 30 mg Oxycodone HCL 4xday. weeks ago I was put on 500 mg naproxyn 2 x day. It began reducing my pain within 24 hrs and continued reduction to a level 2 from a level 6-7. Of course I had to dc the naproxyn 1005 in the 3rd week due to standard upper gi complications. Paradise lost. Any suggestions. Also are there any studies on life expectancy @ age 68. AAAAA
Prognosis of ARDS at age 68 is poor, so you need to improve your immunity.
If required then you may need to do investigation for prognosis and recovery.
