Is Azifast Medication Effective And Will Discontinuation Cause Pimples?

My dermatologist prescribed Azifast 500 mg for me and i am 16 years old girl. She has asked me to take it every day in the night for one month. Can I see a good effect with these tablets. Also, I am worried if I stop taking these tablets, the pimples may reappear. Please help.

Hi,

Azithromycin (azifast) is used to treat acne and is usually effective. It is initially taken for 1 month daily and then tapered to alternative days foe the next month, it is not stopped suddenly (which can cause pimples to reappear). So take these tablets as your dermatologist prescribed and continue so according to his advice along with this make sure you maintain a good diet, stay well hydrated, use a good ant acne soap (benzyl peroxide).
