Chronic Pain On Right Side Of Rib Cage With Lump Below Hip After A Fall. Is This Just A Bad Bruise ?
I got bucked off a horse last Friday and nailed the ground pretty hard on my right side. Normally I can take falls but I was on the ground for 30 mins. Threw up several times, lost hearing when I got home and would get dizzy & nauseous and would faint if I stood up for too long. I have chronic pain on the right side of my rib cage, and there's a MASSIVE lump below my hip. It's numb to the touch, and causes excruciating pain just adjusting the waistband of my pants. Very purple blue and red. Should I see a doc or is it just a bad bruise?
Hi, It looks like blood collection (hematoma), but you need to have a specialist consultation and get a fracture bone ruled out which is common after a fall. Pain on your right side of chest after fall suggest that you might have a rib fracture and the pain increases on coughing, sneezing, deep breathing etc. you need to see a specialist at the earliest and get the required Xrays done.
