I hope you are currently getting effective treatment to get the disease under control or remission. I am not sure of the extent of your Crohn s involvement. As you are aware, this can affect the entire intestinal tract, part of the small and large bowel or entirely large bowel.Typical Crohn s affects the lower portion of the small bowel called the terminal Ileum and the cecum which is the beginning of the large bowel. If the inflammation is very active , you can have a lot of mucus produced in the intestine. There is also malabsorption, the food does not get fully digested because of lack of intestinal enzymes. The meat product that you might have consumed a week ago , the residuals may still stay longer and eventually comes out stringy mixed with mucus and bile ,giving the green color. If you have narrowing due to inflammation , the shape of the semiformed stool can be what your description says. Ask a lot of questions about your Crohn s and the more you learn about what portions of your intestinal tract are affected, it helps to plan proper treatment. As of today , unfortunately there is no definite cure for Crohn s but there are very effective biological agents and immune modulator drugs that can keep the disease under remission and prevent complications.
