Cleared Ear And Found Dry Blood On Q-tip. Had Hit Head A Month Back. Related?

I cleaned my ear this morning because it felt itchy and like I might have had wax and on the qtip and there was dried blood on the qtip, what could this be from? should I be concerned? I don't have any symptoms of anything. I did hit my head about a month ago pretty hard bending over to pick something up and banging it off the counter as I tried to stand and had a headache for a couple days after but nothing since then...

Hello

I had gone through your query and as you said that you got dried blood on the q-tip in ear cleaning, though you are not having any ear trouble at present. You have a past history of hit on head about a months back and at that time you were having headache for couple of days only and after that every thing was o.k.

It appears that this dried blood is most probably is related to that injury and lateron the injured part of external ear canal got healed and this dried crust of blood came out during ear cleaning.

It is hard to say as from which part of ear canal blood came out because now your injured part of external ear canal is already healed and at present you are asymptomatic.
