Hi, I had cataract surgery, on my left eye, in Dec 2011 and on my right eye in Jan 2012. In
April 2012, I developed a detached retina in my left eye and in examining it a tear was discovered in my right eye. I had surgery within 24 hrs from when it completely detached and lazer treatment for my right eye. The vision in my left eye cloudy and distorted. My right eye has a ghost above what I am looking at. My surgeon in Feb or March 2012 lazered that eye but it did not solve the problem. He is now telling that it is a floater. I am very upset

You need to take the great care while come any decision, retina is very very fragile organ, any kind of regeneration of retina is just out of question, looking to your history it is better now to leave the condition like this only, any further surgical intervention may cause the loss of vision, even if go for some surgical treatment the result could be a same as you have right now, you better consult some very competent and highly experienced Retinologist, Have nice day.
