Hi, Thanks for the query to H.C.M.C
Asthma is a most common disease now a day and causes are many but one of them is mite, pollen , dry sand , smoke, sudden rise and fall of temp etc.
Ventolin is a commonly used
salbutamol type drug which gives some relief to patient as this is a bronchodilators.
Available in many forms as tabs, caps, syrup, inhalers, sprays.
The side effects of these drugs are many
fainting, dizzy,
nausea, palpitations, headache, sweating, tremors, convulsions (rarely).
In your's daughter case it might be due to overdose of ventolin as there was sweating faintness, distressed, above all
heart rate was very fast.
Consult the doctor and get another drug for asthma as in this case child will fear to take this drug due to panic.
Good luck. Dr. HET.
