Hi,
The most common causes of such symptoms are one of the following:
-
Eustachian tube dysfunction meaning the tube connecting back part of nose to the middle ear is not functioning normally due to nasal or
sinus conditions or even
common cold.
- Wax on the ear drum gives same feeling. Actually having fluid in the middle ear.
- Small inner muscles of middle ear tremors too can cause such changes and can be visualized to confirm by ear
endoscopy when the problem is actually present.
The treatment will depend upon the actual cause hence I would advise you the following:
- Consult an ENT Surgeon when in problem to have proper ENT Endoscopy, supporting investigations as needed.- This will give the cause and thus allow a specific treatment which can be in the form of decongestant, anti-inflammatory medicines.
- Do not blow nose.
- Avoid extreme weather changes.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
