Cold, Runny Nose, High Temperature, Yellow Drainage From Eye. Reason?

My 15 month old son has had a cold .. Runny nose with greenish colored boogers and a cough for about a week now. Last night he felt hot so I took his temp and it was 102 then went to 103.1! I was scared and called the dr. They said it was probably a virus his body is trying to fight off? We gave him Tylenol and that brought it down some to 100.7 but today has gone back up to 102. And he has one eye that is watery and has yellowish colored drainage coming from it YYYY@YYYY

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic
your history suggests it is common cold with secondary infection
you need to give him a antihistamine preparation like CPM and phrenelephrine2-3 times daily
paracetamol 15mg/kg 3-4 times daily to controle fever
an antibitic ampiclox 3times daily
steam inhalation if possible
antibiotic drops for controlling eye infection
better consult a pediatrician before giving medication
